across the street from my hotel room. los angeles.
like everyone else, my heart goes out to those in new orleans. it's painful to see those images and to read the reports, but i can't be stifled by this or by the war that continues to drag on. it's good to be aware and to do what you can to make a difference, but i refuse to be constantly glued to the television, waiting for the next bad thing to happen.
instead of stressing out about what's going on everywhere else, look outside your door. more than likely you're not underwater and bullets are not whizzing by you. it's probably sunny where you are. go outside and appreciate. be happy.
on the subject of new orleans, i'm working on a benefit that will be next sunday. stay tuned.
